okay, i've been moving around DA a bit recently, lurking, looking, finding new things to fav, and revisiting some of my old favorites. one thing i've encourntered it that yes, there seems to be a bit of unrest going on in the journals of some rather prolific deviants.
they say deviantart is superficial, comments are crap, and they're tired of being on the frontpage. well, i have little sympathy for them, honestly, what did they think the deal would be? everything this like DA, DA mimics real life, and just because everyone has seen your user page doesn't make you a good artist. you're probably appealing, but there's not a lot else i have to say about you.
i'd not saying deviants with a lot of pageviews are all bad artists, they aren't. there are many compelling and visually pleasing deviants out there who have earned those pageviews, by god! and my hat's off to you!

but honestly, there are many many deviants out there who don't get as much credit as they deserve...right of the top of my head i can say that SJMX is a kick-ass deviant with middling pageviews who really appriciates comments and constructive criticism, and totally rocks my dome. even if i don't especially like his vector work. there are plenty of deviants i'll probably never see who rock more than freaking peanut butter and jelly (which rocks).

but i don't know. let's pelase not whine. i get enough of that, i'm sure you do too, chill people.

i also recently realized that i have no put ONE of my actual painting on DA...not ONE of the glaring oil paintings i spend so much time on is here. it's ironic, but whatever...maybe i'll get my digital camera out and whip those thigns up here.
